When everything seems down and hopeless one smile is good enough to ease and lighten up everything. It gives hope and casts a bright radial feeling through the darkest moment of a person.

A smile can also attract good vibes and positive energy. Leaving a positive effect to everyone it touches making the entire day worth living unlike the loner who won't give and get any good vibes into your life. Learn to smile and make it a habit. If you want your day to be fruitful and pleasant, give a smile in the morning and everything will just be fine.

Aside from smile there's also one that can really make you livelier. Laughter is one of human attributes that can make any person feel better. Laughter or laugh can exercise your facial muscle and even some parts of the body. Laughter is well known for the phrase "Laughter is the best medicine". Scientifically it is proven that laughter can really boost man's ability to heal itself. There are a certain glands in the human body that excretes something to help in the fast recovery of the patients.

Life is sweet if those smile and laughter are seen to every person in the world. Just like what I've experienced in my life, a smile from my son's face can easily ease all my worries and body aches. A smile from my wife can really brighten my day. Both of them teach me the meaning of smile and laughter. Both of them give me a boost to move forward in facing all the problems in life.

Others may have tried to buy their laughter but nothing can beat or replace the genuine laugh from a genuine event that caused the laughter, especially the laugh of a little person, the giggles and laugh of a baby, and laugh of a wife when cuddled.

For what ever reason we all need to smile and we all need to laugh. It's either to ease the load or just simply to laugh and smile. That is life and that's we experienced.

Many people spend their lives in routine. They wake up, have breakfast, go to work, go home, have dinner and sleep. For others, they spend they days at home doing chores and expect to do same the next day. It's not surprising that people feel bored about their lives and experience stress more often than they should. Although there are others that are comfortable with the life they have and don't have any plans of making any changes.

We all want to live a happy life and the secret is to enjoy life without having to make excuses that you don't have enough time or money because you can start enjoying your life now with what you already have. Add excitement to your life and it doesn't always mean that you need to go for a vacation. You can still have fun while doing your daily routine or use your personal time to do exciting things. Here are simple ways on how you can enjoy your life:

1. Explore - Have you been taking the same route when you drive to work or home? Why not take a different route next time so you'll get to see a different scenery.

2. Be more adventurous - Doing something new or different once in awhile. Try eating exotic food or engage yourself in sports that you haven't tried before.

3. Challenge yourself - It doesn't matter what it is, just do something that will push you to your limit. It's exciting if you have accomplished something you never thought you could and boost your self-confidence and add to your self-esteem.

4. Make new friends - In meeting new people, you may also discover new things like new hobbies or interest.

5. Plan an adventure - Take your family to a park, to the beach or go camping. There's nothing more exciting than spending time with your family and have an adventure together.

6. Do volunteer work - Helping other people are both exciting and rewarding. You will truly find joy if you do something good for others.

7. Get a hobby - do something you love the most and follow your passion because this will make you whole.

8. Laugh more - Watch a funny movie or read a funny jokes book. You can even watch cartoons with your son/daughter or go to a comedy bar. Laughter is fun, it's good for your health, and it's free.

9. Live in the now - Forget the past and the future is not here yet. Live your life today and make the most out of it.

10. Stop worrying - Don't waste your energy thinking about things that are not worth thinking about. Every time your mind is stuck at worrying, you are wasting a good opportunity to enjoy your day. Think positive and don't let your negative thoughts get the better of you.

It is your days that define your life and no matter what your choices are, you have to remember that you only have one life to live so don't waste it by depriving yourself of the simple pleasures in life. Yes you. Of the myriad of living things which have or will ever inhabit the universe you are unique there never has been or ever will be anything like you. Not only are you unique, you are from your point of view, the centre of the universe. So relish your uniqueness.

Your ancestral heritage has been passed to you through the combined DNA of your parents and their parents before them. However there is more than DNA, there are the memories of events in your parent's lives and again in their parents before them, giving you ancestral memories which influence the way you react to situations you meet as you travel through life. These memories are also a factor in your dreams as your spirit through your subconscious mind seeks to influence the way you respond to events.

A while back my dog Toby a Border Collie, when he was a puppy before training imposed restraints on his reactions, would follow his instincts and try to round up any group he was associated with. When we walked as a small group he would be constantly circling and herding, bringing any laggards back to the main group. Without training, his instinct or inherited memories was to herd and keep together any group he felt responsible for. He would also do the same with my neighbours chicken, much to the excitement of the chickens.

Why and how can you relish your uniqueness? Well, as a first step towards Spiritual Enlightenment you need to be aware of yourself and your relationship to the rest of the universe as well as being aware of your inner feelings, your gut feelings and your connection to your soul and spirit.

The how is quite simple but requires a little self discipline to achieve. As you go about your life take the time to appreciate and relish all you do, don't forget when a moment passes it is gone for ever so every moment is important. We have all heard the expression to smell the roses as we go through life, well start to smell the roses right now.

Appreciate whatever you do savour it, if some one talks to you, listen to them, savour the sound of their voice, look into their eyes and see the sparkle, try your best to empathize with them and for goodness sake don't miss the moment by concentrating on your response, listen and your response will come naturally.

Also as you read be aware and try to understand where the writer is coming from enjoy the words and their meanings, when you write try to visualise who will read your words and try to understand how they influence others.

The same applies to whatever you are doing, eating, looking at something doing a chore don't do it in a blur, just live fully every moment. This is the first in a series related to Spiritual Enlightenment, so savour your life and your uniqueness.
